Reading Keto Built was very thorough on not only the background of Keto, but how to set yourself up for success. Not only did it handle the process of designing your diet through some simple steps it also listed some insights on if you have objectives get in your way. This is a great addition to the other books I’ve read in the Jailhouse Strong series. Definitely a must grab.
The problem with most "paleo" or ketogenic diet book is the BS content. I could rant about how they aren't honestly paleolithic or how I don't care about changing my lifestyle, but in trying to stay on topic, this book is a low drag guide to the use of a ketogenic diet. It summarizes the various types out, tells you how to calculate carbs allowed, and what you can eat - pretty much all the basics. Most importantly never loses sight of the fact we are doing this for a reason - the diet isn't the goal but a tool. The references are actual scientific journals, instead of someone's website. Probably the sanest and most comprehensive look I've seen. (Yeah. it's short. This isn't really that complex a topic).
The authors do a great job explaining the ketogenic diet in several variations. The book is informative and to the point. They don't use fluff or filler and lay everything out in terms that average people can understand and put to use immediately. They explain how this diet strategy can be used for cutting (getting leaner) or for building muscle. I've read some books on keto diets ranging from Dan Duchaine's Body Opus to Dr. Mauro DiPasquale's Anabolic Diet and this book ranks up there with any of them. It's a quick read and gives the reader everything needed to get started and includes some sample meal plans and a quick workout to help deplete glycogen to enter ketosis at a faster rate. The book is short, simple, and straightforward and, like their other books, backed up by science. I highly recommend getting this book if you are thinking of trying a ketogenic diet.
Forget online videos, online forums/groups, or other books! All you need is Keto Built! This is BEST, easiest source to understand and explain what Keto is and to implement it into your life! Right to the point and has the science to back it up. If anyone asks my about Keto I direct them to this book! Another home run from Josh!
I've heard alot about the keto diet. Many claiming great things about it. And many others claiming it to be harmful. This book really clears the air in explaining the benefits of this diet and disproves the negative claims against it. If you do not know much about the keto diet this is a good source of information with explanation for what, why and how to do the keto diet. It's a short book but has a good amount of information. To get you started even goes into saying which foods are allowed and which ones to avoid. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in the keto diet but doesn't know where to begin. This will get you going.
The author is well regarded but this is the size of a paper you should be able to obtain for $3.00-$5 max. and emailed.I took one look and it's not much of anything I can't find on the web for free.And, hire a designer for the front covers of your books. Man, that's rougher in person.I gave it a pass hoping for more content, but all in all, it just added to the reason to return.You consume what you see as well.

There is typically a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings about keto transfers to strength sports, but Josh and Adam dispel those in an easy to understand fashion.As someone who’s approaching a year in ketosis and loving every minute, this is a must read!
Ordered the book 1/15 and got busy starting on 1/18. Down 27 pounds so far - BOOM! It's just what I needed to get back on track after a long holiday season. Keto Built along with Josh's other book, Powerbuilding Basics are a killer combo to get jacked and strong.
