This is another fantastic story by Kit Morgan and I loved it. The Mail Order Bride Ink series is awesome This is another story in another amazing series that Kit Morgan has expertly written.Sophie Baxter is a mail order bride going to Independence, OR. She arrives in town only to find her intended murdered while waiting at the train station for her arriving in daylight. Then she gets arrested for his murder. This is the start of a very interesting and fun but a bit scary romance story. Fletcher Vander grandson of the Mayor and Mercy Vander just arrives in town and hears right away after getting off the stage what happened so he heads to the sheriffs office to see if he can help this young woman. He is a lawyer who is returning home because he lost his job at a firm in Portland that his grandfather helped get for him.This story picks up speed and excitement all of a sudden, well after the excitement of the first murder in town since the sheriff arrived.Then it is full speed ahead and you can't put it down because there is so much happening in the sheriff Jace, Fletcher and Sophie together trying to solve her intendeds murder. But there are all kinds of surprises and twists and turns that just make this a very well written and fun story to read.I highly recommend this story and all the ones in this series. You won't regret it.I also recommend you read her Mail Order Brides series to get a bit of all the towns she is writing these stories in to get a feel of the towns, the folks living in these towns and the families that are involved and you will get a feel of how funny, whitty, and adventurous her stories are. You will love all Kit Morgan's fun stories are.
If you are looking for a little murder mystery, try this wonderful story. This story is a delightful and will keep you wondering to the end. I loved how the characters Sophie and Fletcher reacted to one another.
I love Kit Morgan's stories, read many before discovering Pioneer Hearts. She is a truly gifted story teller. Fletcher is fired and must return home. Sophie is a mail order bride, when she arrives to find her would be husband murdered, the plot thickens. It's a must read!!!
So another gripping and fantastic story!!!! Your characters were very likable, especially the Grandparents and the family help. They were absolutely priceless. Thanks for sharing your storytelling!!!!
Great book, who could not fall in love with the Vander' s. As all was another compelling love story. Could not put the book down.
I love going back & seeing the children grown up, & having their own adventures. The story was as always excellent. Love Kit Morgan stories!!!!!!!!!
Always funny, entertaining, and well written. This whodunit with a dose of romance kept me to the very end. This is well worth the read.
