This new book is an excellent book for beginner through advanced quilters. There are many delightful traditional projects in this book, all with new tricks and insights on how to make beautiful quilts using a no-template method. The traditional designs include "A Storm at Sea," "Broken Star," "Geese in Flight," "Stars on the Water," and others. There are actually seven great projects, plus two bonus projects in this book. I love how insights are provided on how to create the beautiful Broken Star design using a strip method, as well as how to get a bonus project--a cute wall hanging--by using diamond unit segments from making the "Broken Star" quilt. The "Green Frogs at Sea" quilt design would work great with just about any novelty print, as well various other prints. I also love scrap quilts, and really like Jo's "Scrappy Rectangles" design. It is truly impossible to pick my favorite project in this wonderful book! It's got LOTS of great ideas in it and ways to make similarly pieced squares assemble to look very different. I usually don't buy books, but am definitely happy with this purchase.

Wanted a book to help with my understanding of the "Storm at Sea" quilt pattern...it does that, plus adds a few other patterns.

The book brings ease of construction to patterns that may have seemed too complicated in the past. Clear instructions and inspiring photographs give the reader the incentive to take on the project.

Very happy with this book. It has items I've been trying to find for ages, the Broken Lone Star for one. Very satisfied

The directions seemed very clear. Nice to have color photos. A good variety of scrap quilts to choose from. I particularly liked"Scappy Rectangles" which was extremely colorful.

I am looking forward to making the Storm At Sea Quilt even though I know it will take time as I work 3rd shift.

The Storm at Sea block is one of my favorite, and Jo Parrott's book "More Favorite Traditional Quilts Made Easy" shows the beauty and flexibility of the block. The cover quilt is amazing, as is her red variation. She also provides clear directions for other traditional quilts such as the "Broken Star". Her directions allow you to strip piece the sections rather than cutting hundreds of individual diamonds.
